Request a License
Before you can deploy and use Dr Migrate, you’ll need to obtain a license. This process varies depending on which of the following groups your organization sits in. This guide will help you identify the right path for your situation.
Choose your organization type
Dr Migrate offers different license processes to accommodate various user types. Select the option that best matches your organization.
Altra & Microsoft Partners
As an authorized Dr Migrate partner, you have access to dedicated partner resources and support channels. If you are an eligible Microsoft partner, you can request 90-day licenses for your customers at no cost.
- Get Dr Migrate Certified: At least one team member must be fully certified to deploy Dr Migrate
- Customer Qualification: Check if a license has been used during FY26 (July 2025 to June 2026), agree on start date, and obtain Microsoft Account TPID
- Request 90-Day License: Submit your license request through the partner portal with all required information
- License Processing: Your request will be reviewed by Altra
- License Delivery: Receive your 90-day license credentials via secure partner channels
- Valid Microsoft partnership agreement and meet Azure Specialization requirements
- At least one Dr Migrate certified team member
- One 90-day license permitted per customer
- Customers must not have previously used a Dr Migrate license during FY26 (July 2025 to June 2026)
- Dr Migrate cannot be deployed in certain banned countries
- Microsoft Global Partner ID required for license requests
Altra partners can purchase licenses through the Altra Partner Portal or by working directly with their Partner Success Manager.
Microsoft partners who are interested in joining the Altra Partner Program are welcome to enquire online.
Microsoft
Microsoft teams (including vendors with access to Microsoft systems) must use the Azure Offer Navigator to request a 90-day Dr Migrate license for customers at no cost.
- Customer Qualification: Check if a license has been used during FY26 (July 2025 to June 2026), agree on start date.
- Customer CSP Status: Check if the customer is CSP managed.
- Go to Azure Offer Navigator: Visit https://aka.ms/AzureOfferNavigator (Microsoft VPN is required to access this link)
- Select Benchmark TCO: Choose Benchmark TCO to initiate a field-nominated assessment through the Solution Assessment Desk
- Customer Qualification: Check if a license has been used during FY26 (July 2025 to June 2026), agree on start date.
- Customer CSP Status: Check if the customer is CSP managed.
- Submit Internal Request: Complete the required information in the Offer Navigator
- Internal Approval: Your request will go through Microsoft’s internal approval process
- License Assignment: Receive your license through Microsoft’s internal systems
- Deployment Support: Access Microsoft-specific deployment guidance and support
- Valid Microsoft employee or contractor credentials
- Approved Microsoft project or initiative
- Compliance with Microsoft’s internal security policies
- Proper authorization for Dr Migrate usage
- Customer qualification prior to submitting request
- Limit of one 90-day license per customer
After the initial 90-day period, customers have two options to continue using Dr Migrate:
1. Purchase Directly within Dr Migrate
- Customers can purchase a license directly within the Dr Migrate platform.
- Billing is handled through the Azure Marketplace for a seamless experience.
2. Work with a Dr Migrate Partner
- Customers can choose to work with a certified Dr Migrate Partner.
- Partners can assist with the purchase process and help customers maximize the value of the platform.
