After deploying Dr Migrate to your environment, collect your data using one of two supported methods. Each approach is designed for different environments and requirements.

DMC

The DMC is a lightweight, agentless tool designed for on-premises environments. It provides secure, local data collection without requiring agents to be installed on individual servers or VMs.

Best for: VMware, Hyper-V, and Physical server environments where you need comprehensive discovery and assessment data.

Azure Migrate

Azure Migrate integration allows you to leverage existing Azure Migrate projects and data. This approach is ideal if you’re already using Microsoft’s migration platform and want to extend your capabilities with Dr Migrate’s advanced analytics.

Best for: Environments already using Azure Migrate or organizations planning to use Microsoft’s migration tools alongside Dr Migrate.
