Logging On
Access to Dr Migrate is provided through the deployed Azure Bastion instance.
More information about Azure Bastion is available here.
Required Permissions
In order to be able to access Dr Migrate within your subscription, you need the following permissions.
Role | Scope |
---|---|
Reader | The Subscription that Dr Migrate is deployed into |
Contributor | The Resource Group that Dr Migrate is deployed into |
Access the Dr Migrate Application
Locate the Dr Migrate Application
Search for Managed Applications within the Azure Portal, once you have located your Managed Application, select the Managed resource group from the Overview screen.
Within the Managed resource group, select the Virtual Machine.
Log In to the Virtual Machine
Connect to the Virtual Machine via Bastion. Using the credentials you specified during deployment, or provided to you by an Administrator.

If you have forgotten your username and password to your instance, Contact Altra Support and our team can assist you.
Login to Dr Migrate
Once logged into the Virtual Machine. Open the Dr Migrate application via the shortcut on the Desktop, to launch the Dr Migrate Web App.
Simply, login with the same credentials used for the Bastion, to login.
The Dr Migrate SaaS Platform offers a robust and secure environment for analysing Azure Migrate projects.
Each deployment is segregated and accessible via a web browser, requiring MFA and relevant permissions for access.
Accepting Access Invitation
Instances provisioned prior to October 6th, 2024 will remain available at express.drmigrate.com.
You will receive an email from ‘Microsoft Invitations’, inviting you to Azure AD B2B with Altra.
You will need to accept this invitation and setup MFA for this Guest account. Occasionally the email goes to your junk email, you can find the email by search for ‘Altra’.
Once you have accepted your invite, you will be redirected to the Dr Migrate SaaS portal. Login with your credentials, and setup MFA
Finding and Starting your SaaS Instance
Find your instance in the list presented, if you have access to multiple instance’s, you can search for the instance you need.
Accessing your Instance
Once you are logged in, you will see your deployment. If the VM is not started, please click Start.
If your instance is already started, you should click connect. This will launch your instance in a new tab.
